We're always seeking workshop, special research projects and general session presentation abstracts for our upcoming conferences. Please review the following information describing each opportunity as well as the funding/reimbursement details that the NWAFS offers for your contribution to our program. Thank you!

Workshops

Workshops may be full day or half day and may include informative lectures or practicals or a combination of both.

Special Research Projects

These research projects are small, focused, one-day projects that conduct baseline research on a selected forensic question. The observations and data generated will then be presented during the general session at the end of the week and formally published (after peer review) in the NWAFS Crime Scene publication. Each member of the work group will be under the direction of the Mentor and will contribute to setting up, recording and preparing the research for presentation/publication.

General Session Presentations

Present an interesting case, any new techniques/trends, unique evidence, research projects or different uses of existing technologies/equipment during our general session portion of the meeting. Each presenter will be allotted 15-60 minutes.

Deadlines

Workshops and Special Research Project abstracts must be submitted by April 1st. General Session Presentation abstracts must be submitted by August 1st.
